I have been working with Riverside Energy Systems since the winter of 2006. Paul coached me through the installation of my first 12 volt system by telephone with uncanny patience and good humour. In December of 2008, I lost my entire home in a house fire caused by thawing frozen pipes. The next day, I was astounded to find Paul on my snowy driveway, that awful winter day after the fire, with a complete 12 volt power system in his van. He stayed for that day and part of the next, utilizing my 2 solar panels which had survived the fire, setting me up beyond all expectations, with an efficient power system in a small cabin I have on my property.

Riverside Energy Systems has set up three off grid power systems for our family and we have been very impressed with their knowledge of the equipment that they sell, as well as their prompt and excellent installation of the equipment. In the seldom event of any problems, help was always available. We continue to enjoy the independence of living off the grid, using solar, wind, and a diesel generator to supply all of our power requirements. I have had the pleasure of Riverside Energy’s support for 14 years in my adventures with living off grid. Suffice to say I could not have succeeded or endured the learning curve and ever changing technological or load demands without their expertise and service. Impressed by what we saw, we proceeded with our order for a 6 Kw array in late summer 2012. Working with Ben and Paul has been a delight. Riverside Energy Systems designed, specified, installed, and commissioned the rooftop and balcony handrail photovoltaic systems for the 2010 Green Dream Home, part of the CMHC EQuilibrium Initiative. The attention to detail, enthusiasm and commitment by the two partners was outstanding and contributed significantly to the success of the project. In addition to excellent performance, the company donated much of it's time as a high level sponsor so the finished home could be provided at a discounted price to the Kamloops YMCA/YWCA for their 2010 Dream Home Lottery.

We have been working with Riverside Energy since 2009. Riverside is well-prepared, thorough and are experts in their field. Their installations are very well completed and follow up is second-to-none. We chose solar PV because it works so well in BC as a grid-tied system, where the grid is the 'battery'. The solar PV builds up a credit in the summer allowing BC Hydro to maintain higher water levels in their dams and then draws down the power in the winter. Having solar PV also has increased our family's awareness of power consumption which we are steadily decreasing.

We looked at several potential companies but chose Riverside Energy to install our solar energy system and this was indeed a great choice. Riverside Energy has exceeded all our expectations. Ben Giudici was always available to answer questions and we had lots. He was in fact a patient teacher. We highly recommend Ben and Riverside Energy for any solar energy installation.

Annette and I would like to thank you and your crew for the excellent work you guys did designing and installing our solar system. Hooking up to the grid would have been too costly for us. Our project would not have been possible without the solar option and Riverside Energy delivered our power need supply economically and professionally. The system has already paid for itself if we compare how much Hydro wanted to run power into our property to the cost of our solar system.
