We were thrilled to work with another homeowner who was inspired to go solar after seeing the quality of work completed on a neighbouring property. After watching our team install a nearby system and hearing positive feedback firsthand, they decided it was the right time to invest in solar energy and take advantage of the available incentives while they were still in place.
This project featured the installation of a 6.06kW grid-connected solar system on an asphalt shingle roof using 12 Longi 505W solar panels paired with 6 APsystems DS3-L microinverters. The system was connected to the home’s existing 100 amp Square D electrical panel with a 25 amp breaker, requiring minor breaker adjustments to accommodate the solar connection.
During the design phase, careful attention was given to panel placement to minimize the impact of shading from a front-yard tree and chimney while maximizing solar production. Although initial drone imaging was delayed due to winter weather conditions and high winds, a follow-up Scanifly drone flight confirmed the layout and production estimates were right on target.
The completed system is expected to generate approximately 5,900 kWh of clean renewable energy annually, helping offset electricity costs while reducing environmental impact for years to come.
It was a pleasure working on this installation and helping another family make the transition to clean, renewable energy.
