A battery based solar system can reliably power instruments, data logging hardware, and communications equipment for remote monitoring and reporting of key data where grid power is not available. This installation uses a 1 kW solar array, battery system, and inverter to power equipment which measures and transmits weather and wind information to a central location for analysis.
