Sonbuilt is an award winning ENERGY STAR and R-2000 qualified design/build firm in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia. Principals Jonathan and Carmen Zerkee approached Riverside Energy Systems to design and install a solar PV system for their net-zero-ready home and are now sharing their personal PV experience with their clients. The two phased approach saw 10.2 kW of grid-connect PV generation installed initially with racking anchors and electrical infrastructure to allow doubling system capacity in the future. Superb craftsmanship, high performance building envelope, geothermal heating/cooling, rainwater collection, and various other sustainability features round out this impressive “Mike Holmes certified” project.
