Kanaka Bar Indian Band - Lytton, BC

(Completed in 2016)
In support of energy self-sufficiency and capacity building, Kanaka Bar completed 6.2 kW and 4.2 kW grid connected solar PV systems for their Band Office and Health Centre buildings under the BC Hydro Net-Metering program. Riverside Energy Systems designed and installed the systems with the client pre-building ground mounted and pole-top structures to support the solar arrays for each installation. An essential component of the Band Office installation was integrated training in the form of a project specific “Solar Boot Camp” designed and delivered by Riverside Energy Systems staff. Members of the community participated in daily classroom sessions and on-site installation activities during the execution of the Band Office project.
